Are you considering cheek filler?

Wondering what cheek filler can do for you?

Reasons why patients should consider cheek filler:

1. Aging & Volume Loss - Changes to underlying facial anatomy go hand in hand with aging. Gradual loss of bone, muscle mass and fat pads contribute to lack of contour and flattening of the mid-face.

2. General Cosmetic Enhancement - For those who are not necessarily seeing signs of aging yet, are looking to treat preventatively or are looking for a subtle enhancement to their already existing anatomy.

3. Nasolabial Folds & Lower Face Concerns - Secondary to anatomical changes, patients often present with areas of concern in the lower face. The most common complaint reported by clients are deeper and more pronounced nasolabial folds (lines that go from the nose to the mouth AKA "parenthesis lines"). Correction of the mid-face can directly improve and support the lower facial anatomy over time.

4. Support For The Under Eye - We often reference the cheeks and under eye (tear trough) area as the "best friends you cannot separate." Under eye hollowness is another common concern we treat daily. The cheek acts as a "shelf" and support to the under eye. Additional filler may be needed in the tear trough thereafter for optimal correction.

Does it hurt?:

It doesn't! All filler used at The Facebar contains Lidocaine, a numbing agent to make your experience more comfortable. Topical numbing is also available. Additonal Lidocaine injections may be performed for certain techniques. Your provider will educate you on all of your options.

What product is best for the cheeks?:

There are several! Both the Restylane and Juvederm portfolios have products the work beautifully in the cheeks. We always recommend a consultation with one of our advanced providers to determine what product is best for you.

How much will I need?:

Filler is manufactured per syringe. 1 syringe of filler is equivalent to 1 ml or 1/5th of a teaspoon. This is a small amount of product! Some clients may only need a small amount while others will need more - and that's ok! Every case will be different, so remember, consultation is key!

Is this permanent?:

No. Cheek filler can last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years depending on several factors (i.e. product selection, patient's metabolism). Hyaluronic Acid fillers, like the Restylane and Juvederm families, can be dissolved with a medication called Hylenex if needed.
