"Trap Tox" (Trapezius Muscle Botox)

There are certain aesthetic trends that we can get behind and we can say with confidence that we are on board with this one as we have been doing it with amazing results long before this became trendy as this procedure has been around for decades and is recently gaining a lot of attention.  We are talking about “Trap Tox” or “Barbie Botox” = Trapezius Muscle Botox.

If you haven’t yet heard of “Trap Tox”, it's the latest trend in neck contouring, and it's quickly becoming a popular option for people who want to achieve a more youthful and elegant appearance.

A “Trap Tox” treatment uses neurotoxin like Botox or Dysport, into your trapezius muscle. This is the large triangular muscle that runs along the back of the neck and shoulders.  When this muscle is overactive, it can cause the neck to appear bulky and square.  This tox treatment can help relax this muscle, which can create a smoother and more elongated neckline.

In addition to improving the appearance of the neck, the treatment can help reduce tension and tightness held through the shoulders and it can help improve posture and reduce neck pain.

We have been using this treatment for years and as a part of our routine migraine injections as well, so you could say that we are pros when it comes to the trapezius muscle, and yes it can help with migraines as well.  When done properly, there are no functional limitations of this procedure and repeated treatment yields more impressive results.
